Elijah Balbed Quartet

At the early age of 20, saxophonist Elijah Jamal Balbed has already established himself as one of the top young sax players in the DC area. His credits go further than the district sharing the stage with world-class musicians such as McCoy Tyner, Christian McBride, Danilo Perez, T.S. Monk and Benito Gonzalez. Elijah finds his influences from players such as Charlie Parker, Hank Mobley, Dexter Gordon, Illinois Jacquet, Sonny Rollins, John Coltrane, Tim Warfield, Joe Lovano and Branford Marsalis.

"...Elijah Jamal has become a well-known staple in the Washington jazz world." -- Washingtonian
