Arch Thompson and Friends

Arch Thompson ~ flute
Roberto Tyson ~ guitar
Wardell Howell ~ bass
Terence Arnett ~ drums

Arch 'A.T.' Thompson returns to Inwood Coffeehouse for his ninth feature performance. An energetic master of the flute, he leaves no part of the instrument unexplored with his sometimes percussive, sometimes melodic technique. As most Inwood Coffeehouse fans know, he sings, he scats and he dances, all while playing his flute. A serious student of music since the age of twelve, Arch attended Manual Arts High School in Los Angeles where he gained recognition for his creative and innovative style. He performed and toured internationally and studied at the U.S. Army Conservatory of Music. As a master of contemporary Latin Jazz he was a featured jazz flutist in Puerto Rico playing with such notables as Dave Valentin, Jerry Gonzalez, Frank Lacy, Stefon Harris and Steve Turre. Since arriving in DC, Arch has immersed himself in the diverse musical atmosphere of the city performing a wide range of music from classical to hip-hop. Click here for more info about AT.
